Acupuncture is an ancient form of healing that has been used for thousands of years in China and other Eastern cultures and still features there today both as a standalone therapy and alongside conventional western medical therapy.
Whatever the main complaint, traditional acupuncture treats the whole person, so you may well experience other benefits for example better sleep or general well being. A full history is taken to facilitate diagnosis.
The initial diagnosis and treatment takes 1 to 1 ½ hours, subsequent treatments take 45 minutes to an hour. Note that if you have a private health care plan you may be able to claim back some of your costs.
